meeting with Kalyan Singh

In an apparent move to chalk out the opposition strategy to topple the Mayawati-led government in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday night held a closed-door meeting with Rashtriya Kranti Party president Kalyan Singh at the latter's residence in Lucknow.
"We held detailed discussions about the opposition plan to topple the corrupt Mayawati government. We will be meeting again on Sunday to give a final shape to the plan," Kalyan Singh told PTI in Lucknow on Friday.
Singh said that Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Ajit Singh and Congress leader Jagdambika Pal were likely to attend the proposed meeting on Sunday.
With the 14-member RLD withdrawing support, the Bahujan Samaj Party-Bharatiya Janata Party government has been reduced to a minority, Singh said.
He claimed over two dozen BJP legislators are 'ready to cross the floor'.
"They are in touch with me and will act at the right moment," he said.
