One-hour curfew relaxation
for women in Dhar, MP

Curfew imposed in Dhar in Madhya Pradesh following violent incidents during Wednesday's bandh called by Sangh Parivar outfits was relaxed for one hour on Friday for women as no untoward incident was reported from anywhere since Thursday night, Inspector General of Police V M Kunwar said in Dhar.

Curfew had been relaxed from 0830 to 0930 IST 'only for women'.

Even on Thursday, curfew had been relaxed for half-an-hour in the evening only for women.

Curfew continues to be in force at Rajgarh, Tanda, Digthan and Amjhera, Kunwar said.

A report from Meghnagar (Jhabua district) said that Hindutva forces have called for a bandh on Friday to protest against police firing to control a rampaging mob.

Meanwhile, traffic on the Indore-Ahmedabad route has resumed much relief to the stranded passengers and trucks, official sources said.
