Another Dawood aide brought
to Mumbai from UAE

In a major success for Indian investigating agencies, Anil Parab alias Vangya, a key aide of notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim, was arrested after he was brought to Mumbai on Sunday night from Dubai.

He is to be produced in the court on Monday.

Parab is a sharp shooter of the Dawood gang and is named in several criminal cases, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection) Pradip Sawant told UNI.

He is also an accused in the Mumbai serial bomb blasts, which killed over 250 people on March 12, 1993.

Parab, who was a taxi driver before taking to crime, was allegedly involved in a shooting incident outside a Mumbai court in 1985, sources said adding he is also believed to have killed his wife.

Parab follows in the path tread by gangsters Ejaz Pathan, Iqbal Kaskar and Mustafa Dossa alias 'Majnu', all of who were based in the UAE.
