Delhi HC rejects R K Sharma's bail plea

Justice M A Khan of the Delhi high court on Monday rejected an anticipatory bail plea filed by R K Sharma, a senior Indian Police Service officer and prime accused in the murder of Indian Express correspondent Shivani Bhatanagar.

The judge had reserved the order on September 2.

Shivani was killed at her residence in Navkunj apartments in Patparganj in Delhi on January 23, 1999.

The Delhi police have so far arrested three persons -- Sri Bhagwan Sharma, Pradeep Kumar Sharma and Satya Prakash -- in connection with the murder.
