The South Eastern Railway will run seven special trains for pilgrims wanting to witness Lord Jagannath's chariot festival at Puri in Orissa starting from July 12, Divisional Railway Manager (Khurda road) C K Narasingham said on Monday.
Two special trains -- Kharagpur-Puri and Khurda road-Puri -- will start running on July 12 and 13.
Four special local trains, Bhadrak-Puri, Palasa-Puri DMU, Cuttack-Puri special, Bhubaneswar-Puri special, Dhenkanal-Puri and Angul-Puri, will start running on July 12, he said.
Seventeen additional ticket booking counters will also function at the Puri railway station from July 12 to 22.
