Former actress Hema Malini may campaign against All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief J Jayalalithaa in the Andipatti assembly byelection.
"Andipatti will be in the news, and if needed, I will consider campaigning in the constituency," Hema told newsmen in Chennai.
A 'star campaigner' for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Uttar Pradesh assembly election, scheduled for next month, Hema hinted that she would be campaigning for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam nominee 'Vaigai' Sekhar.
Earlier, after filing her nomination papers Jayalalithaa said she could not say anything now on realignment of political parties in Tamil Nadu.
"I can't say whether there will be realignment of forces now. How can I say?" she told reporters.
When asked to comment on the opposition parties' efforts to postpone the elections and putting hurdles in her path, she said, "You have to comment. I have come here with the support of the people."
