Await court order for solution to Ram temple dispute: Vajpayee

A M Sahay in Patna

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Sunday said that all interested parties must wait for the court's order on the Ram temple dispute for a solution to the contentious issue.

He denied that the BJP-led NDA government was deliberately dragging its feet on the temple issue or that the BJP was raking it up with an eye on the Uttar Pradesh assembly poll.

Before leaving for Delhi after inaugurating a few railway projects in Patna (Bihar) on Sunday night, Vajpayee said, "Even I want a quick solution to the problem."

However, he did not say anything about taking the initiative to solve the Ayodhya issue.
