2 more polling stations for Kashmiri Pandit migrants

The Election Commission has added two more polling booths for Kashmiri Pandit migrants outside the Kashmir valley for the assembly election in September-October.

With this, the number of polling stations for Kashmiri Pandit migrants has gone up to 11, state Chief Electoral Officer Pramod Jain said in Srinagar on Saturday.

Now eight polling booths in Jammu, one in Udhampur, and two in Delhi have been reserved for Pandit migrants, Jain said.

He said 150,000 Kashmiri Pandit migrants residing in other parts of the country could cast their votes through postal ballots.
