Process of assembly poll in J&K set in motion

The process of assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir was set in motion on Thursday when a formal notification was issued for the first phase of polling in 26 constituencies on September 16.

Balloting in the second phase would cover 28 constituencies including Srinagar, Badgam and Jammu, on September 24.

In the third phase, polling would be held on October 1 in 27 assembly segments at Pulwama, Anantnag, Kathu and Udhampur.
