R K Sharma was in Delhi on August 16

Was senior Indian Police Service officer R K Sharma, the prime suspect in the Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, in Delhi to file an affidavit for his bail petition in the Delhi high court?

If the affidavit, which is signed by him, is any indication, the answer is yes.

"I, Ravi Kant Sharma... presently in New Delhi, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:

That I am the petitioner in the above mentioned criminal petition and I am, therefore, competent to swear the present affidavit."

The affidavit bears his signature affixed before the oath commissioner on August 16 in Tis Hazari Courts complex in Delhi.

As per law, a petitioner has to identify himself before the oath commissioner while affirming and executing the affidavit.

A massive hunt is on for Sharma and the police has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 to anyone who provides information of his whereabouts.
