R K Sharma moves HC
for anticipatory bail

Absconding Indian Police Service officer R K Sharma, a prime suspect in Indian Express journalist Shivani Bhatnagar's murder, on Saturday filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Delhi high court.

The application was filed by Sharma's counsel Mohit Mathur.

The petition would come up for hearing sometime next week.

Sharma has failed twice to secure bail -- first in Panchkula additional district and sessions court on August 10 and then in the additional district and sessions court in east Delhi on August 13.
