Imran Khan in Bhubaneshwar
The trial of Dara Singh, prime accused in the gruesome murder of Australian missionary Graham Stewart Staines and his two minor sons, was adjourned on Tuesday till October 10.
Khurda District Sessions Judge Mahendra Nath Patnaik announced that the trial was being deferred due to the non-submission of a report by the Director of Medical Education and Training.
The DMET was supposed to submit a report on the health of one of the accused, Surat Nayak, in the murder case.
Surat, who was lodged in Bhubaneswar jail, was suffering from acute tuberculosis.
The court would resume the trial on Wednesday after receiving the report.
