A Bangladeshi team will visit Delhi in the second week of June to discuss the contentious border issue. The visit follows India's suggestion of a back-to-back visit to discuss various bilateral matters.
Both India and Bangladesh have been seeking an expeditious resolution of the border dispute ever since 16 Border Security Force jawans were killed by Bangladesh Rifles in Assam in April this year.
The Bangladeshi team, led by a director general-level officer, would hold talks with Indian officials on June 12 and 13. This will be followed by an Indian team's visit to Dhaka on a mutually agreed date, a spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday.
The meeting would discuss furthering the working of the two joint boundary working groups which were set up last December when the Bangladeshi foreign secretary visited New Delhi.
