More than 100 people were killed and 2,000 houses were washed away as torrential rains lashed Pakistan, causing flash floods, Online news agency reported on Tuesday.
Around 150 people were injured and 60,000 people lost their homes in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Local officials declared 'emergency' in different areas and began rescuing marooned people with the help of the army.
Seventy-nine people lost their lives when flash floods washed away a small hillside village in Mansehra. Some 25 people died when lightening and floods hit Swat district.
Lightning killed six people. All deaths took place on Monday.
The nearly seven hours of rains and floods have crippled traffic and communication systems. In some areas, electricity remained suspended for long hours.
Officials told Online that thousands of people spent the night on footpaths after their houses were washed away. Roads and streets turned into rain-streams and traffic remained jam for more than 10 hours.
