At least 20 people, including some policemen, were injured when a Dravida Munnetra Kazhgam rally, protesting the 'inhuman' manner in which party chief Muthuvel Karunanidhi was arrested on June 30, stoned vehicles on Sunday prompting the police to burst teargas shells to disperse them.
The rallyists threw stones at police and some vehicles, the police said.
When lathicharge failed to bring the situation under control, police burst several rounds of teargas shells to disperse the mob, they said.
