See how america fought for its guys against china. that too over a plane. Here bangladeshis have occupied our teritory n what has been our response so far? nothing. See how Israel defends its citizens. A small country doesnt think twice before taking on the arab bullies. Here a wholevillage is uprooted and what have we done nothing. Its high time countries like lanka bangladesh and burma were shown their rightful place. When Bal Thackeray pointed out the dangers that bangladeshis pose everyone laughed at him . This just shows how the countries take us for granted. Is it a problem with our Military (or) with the political system ?
It's a shame again that 16 of our sholdiers should get killed. Compare this to the Sino-US stalemate. US reflected their concern even for a single soldier of their country. And then China, demanded apology from the mighty US.
What do we do here, other than holding meetings. Why can't the government systems confirm the status and issue stern warning to Bangladesh of serious consequences.
Diplomatic efforts can always follow. You can't let them take us for ride, for god's sake

Views:Sir,
It's high time my country stopped bowing down to hollow threats like these & take some conclusive actions immediately. The government sucks. It has a very lacksaidal attitude of dealing with things. A country which was liberated by our help is stabbing us in our backs & claiming something that is rightfully our land. Just a push from our jawans will send them reeling. On one side we launch the GSLV & on the other we sit like dumb creatures waiting for something worse to happen. All I can say is it's now or never.

Views:It is high time that India shows to its neighbours that it is not weak and will not tolerate any voilence on its citizens. Though we have a large population, it does not mean that life is cheap, Indian citizenship should have some value. If the government can not protect itself against countries like Bangladesh, tommorow it might be Bhutan who will be occupying our villages and we will do nothing to show to the world that we are a tolerant nation. Nobody cares. Remind the Bangladeshies that they have earned their freedom through us, and if they act funny they will loose it again.

Views:its a shame for us that anybody can come at anytime, fire on our soldiers & kill them. How can India sit back when 16 of its soldiers has been killed & many captured. Some stern measures are necessary if we want to have some credibility in the eyes of the world. Just think what america or Israel would have done in this circumstances.

Views:India should convey a strong and no-nonsense reaction like China. As a Nation we are sending out a 'too weak and taken gor granted' image for neighbours. It is high time to put the neighbours in place. Look. Loss one pilot and so much ruckus created by China despite threat of negative fallout on trade relations. I wonder whether India could have exhibited same sternness. In nut shell we lack national character. Life is too cheap and expendable for us. True but Sad it is. Statecraft is art of possible and this goverment is Nil at this. Its patriotism is nothing but emotional plank to garner for votes.

I am an Indian and any atrocity to any Indian should never be tolerated.
It is not at all a question of what to do and what not to do. We should force them to listen to us.
Thank you.

Views:no way i am quite angry with the sort of response this bjp govt has shown and our leaders in general dont those killed have families and childrens and talk about our nation still trying peace and flag meetings balls to these leaders & to think about that a country like bangladesh where each year flood india is the first to send help killing our soldiers i want a proper and firm action rather than reply which would further diter any intrusion on indian territories and at least in lieu of those 18 bodies bangladesh must receive 180 bodies i demand revenge why is that for ages india has lost always because we shout peace peace its high time we should be like israel where when one person isa killed he is avenged one way or the other but our leaders sitting cosy and hoping to resolve via talks with this sort of response one can also believe that one day bhutan or nepal will bang in and sit at kalkutta or lucknow and we will still be shouting peace
and to remind Mr vajpayee his party was the one which at a time wanted pak terrorist camps raided now what happened once in power they want to just stay put and nothing else i am disillusioned and will never ever support such a meeky and coward parety as BJP burning effigies and protest in india is all that we can do nothing on the front
AAlas my country!
my heart goes out to those killed and those 2 soldiers whom bangladesh have captured and displaying them as trophies
i spit on our govt and leaders who have no guts except shout and shout
i love my country and want revenge for my countrymen who lie dead on the border

Views:At the outset, Bangla Desh should not forget that India has played very important roll in getting them the Freedom and they are enjoying freedom at our cost. Any tensions on the Border they should resolve by bilateral dialogues. NOT THIS UGLY WAY.
