Thailand wants Rajan papers translated

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said on Tuesday that the Thailand authorities had asked that papers submitted by the Bombay police team on cases against alleged gangster Chhota Rajan be translated into Thai.

Bhujbal, who is also the state's home minister, said that the three-member police team had forwarded the request to the Indian High Commission, which was looking into the matter.

Rajan's passport has been revoked by the commission in Bangkok, he said and added that the police team that had gone to Bangkok to collect details of the shootout of September 15, in which Rajan was seriously injured and assist the Bangkok police in investigating the case.
