Lohardagga SP shot dead by Naxalites

Our Correspondent in Patna

Suspected Naxalites of the Maoist Communist Centre shot dead Lohardagga Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Singh in an ambush near Hazaribagh in Jharkhand region of Bihar.

Singh belonged to the 1995 batch of the Indian Police Service.

The ambush took place on Wednesday evening. Details are awaited.
