Kumaramangalam still in critical conditionUnion Power Minister P R Kumaramangalam continued to be critical and was receiving life support measures for maintenance of circulation and respiration at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi doctors attending on him said on Thursday. ''There has been no improvement in his condition in the last 12 hours,'' AIIMS medical superintendent R K Sarma said. Kumaramangalam, suffering from severe septicemia and multiple organ failure, had two cardiac arrests on Wednesday, from which he was revived. The 48-year-old minister was admitted to AIIMS on Saturday for tests to diagnose chronic fever he had been affected with for two months. On Tuesday, Kumaramangalam's condition worsened after he had complaints of diahorrea and vomiting. He was immediately given ventilation at the intensive care unit.
