Hi-Tech Leader At Roundtable MeetATLANTA Kiran Deshpande, managing director and CEO of Mahindra British Telecom, offers an overview of the expansion of the company's services in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America at a roundtable discussion on October 18. The roundtable, which is chaired by Atlanta attorney Ken Cutshaw and sponsored by GlobalFax, will be held from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the World Trade Center in downtown Atlanta. Since joining MBT in 1996 as CEO, Deshpande has overseen the growth of the company's annual revenues to more than $ 50 million. MBT has also emerged as BT's largest information technology solutions provider. Under Deshpande, the company's offshore software engineering output has risen from 25 person years to 409 person years, a common way in the IT business of describing the amount of time taken for a software project. MBT opened its Atlanta office in 1998 as its headquarters for the East Coast. In slightly more than a year of operations, the Atlanta office has taken on more than a half dozen projects including software projects for customer relationships, mortgage financing, inventory management and Web enabling. MBT has a formal research partnership with the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
