Showers in the SouthRain or thundershowers are likely at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at many places in southwest Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa and south interior Karnataka. Rain or thundershowers are also likely at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, northwest and east Rajasthan, south Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Heat wave conditions prevailed in Jammu and Kashmir and in parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh. Days temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and in parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and of Tamil Nadu, and were above normal in Tripura, Sikkim and in parts of Haryana. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, north central Maharashtra, Marahtwada, Vidarbha, north interisor Karnataka, Kerala, in parts of Gangetic West Bengal, northeast Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra and Kutch. They were below normal in north Orissa, north Konkan and in parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema and of coastal and south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse. Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plateau, Saurashtra and Kutch, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, central Maharashtra, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.
