Rains in Konkan, Goa

Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at a few places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar plains, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Lakshadweep, at many places in Konkan and Goa, central Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka and Kerala, at a few places in Marathwada, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Vidarbha, south interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Kashmir and above normal in parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and south Gujarat.

They were appreciably below normal in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and in parts of Orissa, hills of west Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

They were below normal in parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Haryana and south interior Karnataka and in the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where the data were sparse.
