Patel may shuffle ministers by month-endKarnataka Chief Minister J H Patel on Friday hinted that the much-awaited cabinet reshuffle would take place by the end of January. On his way to attend the Siddarama Jayanthi at Nandigudi, 50 kilometres from Devangere, Patel told newsmen at Harihar that it was his prerogative to allocate portfolios. He was responding to a question about Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah retaining finance after he had been made the Janata Dal president in the state. Asked whether the 'one man, one post' concept does not apply to Siddaramaiah, he said he would discuss it with senior colleagues. Replying to another question on holding gram panchayat elections, Patel said the issue was before the cabinet. UNI
