SC adjourns Quattrochhi's petition to next weekThe Supreme Court today adjourned to next week the hearing of a special leave petition filed by Ottavio Quattrocchi, who allegedly received huge kickbacks in the Bofors gun deal, challenging a Delhi high court order refusing to quash an arrest warrant issued against him in the case. A division bench, comprising Justices G T Nanavati and A P Misra adjourned the hearing to facilitate the Central Bureau of Investigation to produce a copy of the arrest warrant for the perusal of the court. Appearing for Quattrocchi, senior counsel Dinesh Mathur earlier contended that the arrest warrant was not in consonance with law. The court then said it would like to peruse the arrest warrant before proceeding further with the case. UNI
