DMK-MDMK deal soon: KarunanidhiTamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazagham president M Karunanidhi today expressed hope that a seat-sharing agreement would be reached between his party and the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazagham for the coming Lok Sabha elections in the state. Karunanidhi was speaking to the media after a 30-minute talk with state Bharatiya Janata Party president K N Lakshmanan and general secretary L Ganesan. Asked whether he had received any response to the DMK's offer of five Lok Sabha and one assembly seat to the MDMK, Karunanidhi said, ''So far no. But we are expecting it soon.'' Ganesan said their meeting with the chief minister centred only on campaign issues and not the MDMK stalemate. UNI
