Congress trying to dislodge Vajpayee govt with AIADMK help: TDPThe Telugu Desam Party has alleged that the Congress was hatching a conspiracy to dislodge the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government at the Centre with the help of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham general secretary J Jayalalitha. Addressing the media in Hyderabad, TDP general secretary Umareddy Venkateswarulu said the Congress had made similar attempts in the past. He said the TDP, an ally of the BJP at the Centre, was watching the 'game plan' of the Congress and would react at an 'appropriate' time. Asked whether he foresaw any realignment of political forces in the country, he said such a possibility in any crisis could not be ruled out. He dismissed as 'hypothetical' the question whether the TDP would support any move to form an alternative government, headed by West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu.
