DMK resorting to goondaism, says NedunchezhiyanThe All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham on Monday accused the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam of disturbing its public meetings, assaulting speakers and indulging in stone-throwing. In a statement in Madras, AIADMK presidium chairman V R Nedunchezhiyan alleged that DMK men had been engaging in such "lawlessness" in the past few days when the AIDAMK organised protest meetings in various parts of the state. The police had neither made any attempt to prevent such incidents nor arrested those involved, he charged. Nedunchezhiyan quoted various instances including the one addressed by AIADMK MP and former minister Sathyamoorthy at Ayanavaram in Madras. Party worker Veeraraghavan had sufferred a serious head injury in the stone throwing incident, he claimed. UNI |
