Bombay school kids among 15 killed in Aurangabad mishapFifteen persons, including eight girls and five women, were killed and 27 others injured when a dump truck collided with a private school bus near Budkin village, about 20km from Aurangabad on the Aurangabad-Paithan road this morning. According to police, the bus, of the Sahyadri Vidya Mandir school at Bhandup, an eastern suburb of Bombay, collided with the truck which was carrying labourers. The students were on a picnic tour from Monday to Thursday, visiting places of historical interest in Aurangabad. The injured and the dead were brought to the government-run Aurangabad Medical Hospital. Three of the injured are in a serious state. Vidyadhar Sawant, a teacher of the school who proceeded to Aurangabad later by another vehicle, told journalists that 49 persons, including 44 students, five teachers, and a peon were on the bus. The bodies from the bus that have been identified are Seema Vasant Desai, Sapna Vasant Chougule, Ujjavala Ashok Bavande, Alka Pandurang Wagh, Archana Narhari Nirbhavane, Sarika Sudhakar Rasam, Pravina Tanaji Tanboli (all students) and their teacher Chitra Vinayak Tamhane. The five labourers in the truck who died were Saraswatibai Shrirang Bhingarvade (50), Chhaya Chhabu Dabhade (35), Rambhabai Shankar Wagh (25), Madhukar Bhanudas Hivrale (23) and Vishnu Ramchandra Avasarmol (22). They were all residents of Aurangabad.
