Actor Mayur Patel started his career very well acting in Yogaraj Bhat's Mani. He has proved his credentials as a talented actor by winning the state award. But the film's performance at the box office was not good.

Ever since he has been trying to establish himself as a successful hero but unfortunately, this good looking and talented actor has not been able to make it to the big league.

His recent Ninade Nenapu directed by his father, Madan Patel is one more addition to the listless and mediocre films he has been acting recently. It looks as if Mayur will have to struggle for some more time to get the right commercial break.

Madan Patel is a well-known orchestra singer and an administrator who has made a good name for himself in that field. He has also tried his hand at acting and producing films but success has eluded him in both fields.

This is his first film as a director, and this two-hour film will surely test your patience. It appears Madan Patel has concentrated only on song picturisation. His message for lovers is, "If you are in love, express it and don't hide it."

His son Mayur plays the role of a college student, Vijay, who is focused only on his studies and has no time for love. Shilpa (newcomer Maaya) loves Vijay, but does not express it. Vijay helps Maaya in her project but the girl mistakes it for love. What follows is a tragic love story.

Mayur Patel shines in a role that has no substance while Maaya from London [Images] fails in her attempt at acting. She has scope, though. Anant Nag in his brief role is good, as expected of him.

One feels like telling Madan Patel that filmmaking is not a song picturisation exercise; it is something more than that!

In a nutshell, this mediocre film has no soul
