Veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao picks up an insipid plot to mar his comeback bid. He rehashes his hit Rowdy Alludu but makes a mockery of it with pedestrian screenplay and outdated takings. Tale of mistaken identities of twins is as old as the hills. Deft narration could have saved the plot but Rao fails miserably in that department.
Even Rao's trademark glam songs fail to impress as his pet composer Keeravani's compositions lack repeat value. It's a surprise how talented Trisha [Images] took up a poorly-etched role since. She does nothing but oozing oomph. Upcoming actor Nitin plays dual roles for the first time but lacks comic-timing, an essential ingredient for the same. Barring a few laughs, a band of leading comedians fail to justify its presence in the supposed comedy. It's high time Rao discovered challenging plots or else he can hang up his boots. Is he losing the midas touch after churning out 100-odd films?
Trisha is the new lucky mascot of Telugu cinema after she delivered four hits, including Athadu but she disappoints as an oomph girl. She plays a gullible business tycoon who falls in love with Nitin without much ado and stoops down to play cupid to her sister. What a pity!
Young actor Nitin, who played a lover boy in Jayam and an action hero in Dhill, turns to a clichd plot to break his jinx. He plays a street-smart underworld guy in the film. But his efforts fall flat as his character lacks finesse. Also, he seems to lack comic-timing in a supposed rib-tickler.
Upcoming actress Rathi after her disastrous debut in Pallaki lo Pellikuthuru can't tear apart the web of a routine role. Despite being a suave fashion designe, she falls for a rowdy and keeps on weeping for him, exposing substantial skin on her way.
Comedian Krishna Bhagwan as a sidekick to baddy Kota stands out for his witty one-liners while Brahmanandam, Venu, Dharmavarapu try desperately to breathe life into badly-etched roles. Kota Srinivasa Rao and Shukla as a pair of baddies overdo their acts.
Cinematography of Boopathi looks elegant indoors while Keeravani's pedestrian tunes drive the final nail into the fim's coffin.
Producer Anil Kumar, manager of actor Srikanth, tasted success with his previous film Radha Gopalam but this time only a miracle can save his day.
