eet Akash, the eternal optimist. He always looks at events and setbacks positively. He generates positive energy with all those he interacts with. His attitude can be summarised by his answer when he loses a job: 'I will say I came out from that organisation but my owner feels he has kicked me out of his office. What is the use of thinking about it? The fact is that I have to look for another job.'But eye his lovely sister and you do so at your own risk.
Kannada star Puneet Raj Kumar plays Akash. His performance in this film is certainly a high point in his career. He delivers his lines casually, and yet they have a powerful impact.

Akash does not boast of a great story, but what makes it attractive is the way the film has been narrated by director Mahesh Babu [Images]. Everything looks natural. And the director has not stretched the film to dampen the impact. Akash lives with his sister. Despite a master's degree, he does not get a good job; he is not perturbed. He works as a part-time videographer and drives a driving school vehicle. Later, when he is asked to resign from the driving school, he works as a swimming coach.
He comes across Nandini (Ramya), who is from a rich family. She is engaged to a non resident Indian but gets friendly with Akash, and starts getting attracted to him.
Her closeness with Akash is misunderstood by her brothers, who create problems for him. Akash is attacked and even when he is in hospital, goons attack his home and sister.
Whether Akash emerges victorious or not forms the rest of the story.
Puneet gives a very good performance in the film. Ramya looks glamorous and proves that she can also act in emotional sequences.
Avinash is good as the villain, and the other artistes have performed their roles adequately.
M S Ramesh's dialogues are lively and gel well with the film's narration. Cameraman Prasad Babu has shot his best work in the two songs which have been shot in Germany [Images] and Austria. But except for Neene Neene, the other songs are not as good. Music director R P Patnayak has not matched the film's high standards.
Akash
is certainly an enjoyable film. Puneet's performance and Ramya's glamourous screen presence will remain in your memory for a long time.
