An airport. A delayed flight. A bunch of anxious passengers. And tons of time to ponder and resolve. The seemingly Terminal-inspired setting of Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye is not a regular one.

The film, scheduled for an April 15 release, marks the big screen directorial debut of television anchor Samar Khan.

Starring Mahima Chaudhry, Arshad Warsi [Images], Sandhya Mridul and Sachin Khedekar, Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye is being promoted as a light-hearted feel-good flick.

Composer Himesh Reshammiya [Images] is known to deliver foot-tapping item ditties that appeal to the masses. For the soundtrack of this film, however, he lends his tender tunes more of a romantic touch.

Bhool jayenge hum, the inaugural track sung by Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghoshal, is instantly likeable and eminently hummable.

Another version of the same by the finalist of Zee TV's musical talent show, SaReGaMa, Arpita Mukherjee, is not worth writing home about.

Reshammiya's compositions for the Salman Khan-starrer Tere Naam [Images] were a huge hit. Remember the upbeat O jaana? The amazing similarity it shares with Meetha's O jaana tenu rab da is hard to ignore. Though it certainly doesn't belittle the efforts of the hot vocal combo of Kunal Ganjawala and Sunidhi Chauhan [Images].

Lagne lage ho may be easy on the ears but fails to make any impact.

Aane do is a beautifully rendered thumri by Dr Shoma Ghosh. Sameer's lyrics, however, are a let down. The Royal Stag Megamix version of the song makes for some decent dance floor music.

In a nutshell, Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye is no mouth-watering dessert, but definitely worth tasting.
