Actor Robert Pastorelli was found dead in his home in Hollywood, apparently from a drug overdose. He was 49.
According to the coroner's office, his body was discovered by his assistant in a bathroom on March 8. Though an autopsy was done, the cause of death will not be released as the results of the toxicology tests may take as much as 10 weeks to be ready.
Pastorelli played Eldin Bernecky in the popular television series Murphy Brown. He had just finished shooting for Be Cool with John Travolta. Be Cool is a sequel to the comedy Get Shorty, in which he plays a hitman.
He was earlier seen in films like Outrageous Fortune (1987), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) and Dances With Wolves (1990).
