Awards for Hrithik and KarismaHrithik Roshan, Karisma Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan and veteran film-maker Hrishikesh Mukherjee will be among those honoured at the 64th Annual Bengal Film Journalists' Association (BFJA) awards, to be held in Calcutta on July 21. While Hrithik, Karishma and Jaya Bachchan will receive awards for their performances in Fiza. Khalid Mohamed has been named best director for the same film, which has also been chosen as the best film in the Hindi section. Sharad Kapoor has been voted as best actor in a supporting role for Josh. Hrishikesh Mukherjee will be honoured with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award and Kamal Haasan for Hey! Ram as the most outstanding work of the year, revealed BFJA president Abaninath Bhattacharjee. The three best Bangla films chosen in order of merit were Uttara, for which Buddhadev Dasgupta also won the best director award, Aparna Sen's Paromitar Ek Din and Ashok Viswanathan's Kichu Sanglap Kichu Pralap. The best Bengali actor award will be presented to Prasenjit Chatterjee for his performance in Ashray, while Aparna Sen will get the best actress and best screenplay award for Paromitar.... Rajatava Dutta and Sohini Halder will be awarded with the best supporting actor and best supporting actress respectively, for their roles in Paromitar.... Indrani Dutta will share the award for the best supporting actress for Daabi, Bhattacharjee said. PTI
