The United Progressive Alliance government on Wednesday hiked the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG by Rs 5, Rs 3 and Rs 50, respectively. Following are the new prices of in the four metros effective from midnight:

Cooking gas prices too have been increased by Rs 50 a cylinder. A 14.2-kg LPG cylinder will cost thus: - Delhi: Rs 344.75, instead of the earlier Rs 294.75.
- Kolkata: Rs 350.50, instead of the earlier Rs 300.50.
- Mumbai: Rs 348.00, instead of the earlier Rs 298.00.
- Chennai: Rs 338.10, instead of the earlier Rs 288.10.
