24 Indian cos in Forbes Global list

Leading IT companies i-flex software and Satyam Computers have made their way to Forbes Global's list of 100 'best under a billion' companies in Asia Pacific.
Besides these, Mphasis BFL, Zee Telefilms and pharma companies, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Aurobindo, Nicholas Piramal, IPCA Labs, J B Chemicals and Jubilant Organosys are among the 24 companies from India which have found a place in the Forbes Global-100 best under a billion list.
Bharat Forge, Shanthi Gears, Graphite India, Sesa Goa, Indian Hume Pipes, apart from Gujarat Ambuja Cements, are alos in the list which has the highest number of entries from India in the Asia Pacific region. India is next only to the UK with 31 entries in Asia and Europe combined.
From India's banking sector, HDFC Bank, Corporation Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce have made their way to the list.
Balrampur Chini Mills, Essel Propack and Neyveli Lignite complete the tally, which has been prepared by screening 2,600 publicly traded companies in the region that recorded under $1 billion a year in revenue with five-year returns on capital of at least five per cent.
