The Art of Living Foundation would hold the Second International Summit on Corporate Culture and Spirituality from November 19 to 21 at its headquarters in Bangalore.

The CCS summit would bring together business and spiritual leaders to explore how organisations with strong ethical and spiritual values can sustain a long-term competitive advantage and increase their profitability, CEO of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Ltd, Ajay Bagga told reporters in Mumbai.

He said over 600 delegates from about 58 countries were expected to participate in the summit.

The summit will challenge the notion that ethics and spirituality blunt the competitive edge and show how organisations with strong ethical and spiritual values can sustain a long-term advantage and increase their profitability, said a media release from the foundation.

"The summit will underline how organisations can leverage spirituality as the foundation for developing inner strength and core values," said Yezdi Batliwala, retired director of a Tata Group company, currently in the organizing committee of the conference.

The groundbreaking summit was conceived and launched last year by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living, who says, "Trust is the breath of business, ethics its limbs, to uplift the spirit its goal."

The three-day conference would have panel discussions and case studies on topics such as 'preserving excellence amidst chaos of change' and 'increasing productivity spiritually.'

Bagga said about 2 million people have taken the 'Art of Living' course worldwide and the breathing techniques in it helped in coping with stress and increasing productivity.

Among the confirmed speakers are top Indian and global magnets, including Myron Scholes, winner of 1997 Nobel Prize in Economics, who now heads Global Investment Fund Oak Hill Partners, USA.

Over 300 delegates from India and abroad took part in the inaugural summit last year.

The conference fee of Rs 15,000 per delegate covers accommodation, meals and special programmes for the delegate's family.
