India, UK to increase bilateral trade
June 18, 2004 11:18 IST
India and Britain have decided to give a fresh impetus to increase bilateral trade which crossed over 5 billion pounds last year.
A decision in this regard was taken at a 45-minute long meeting between Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath and the British Trade and Industry Secretary Patricia Hewitt at her office in the Department of Trade and Industry on Thursday evening.
Describing it as a "productive meeting", a spokesman of the Department of Trade and Industry told PTI that the two leaders discussed a "wide range of issues, including trade between the United Kingdom and India and the future relations between the two countries."
