Reliance acquires NIS Sparta

Business conglomerate Reliance has acquired NIS Sparta, a leading performance enhancement solutions organisation.

The size of the acquisition which took place on July 1, was not available.

When contacted, Sanjiv Duggal, CEO and MD, NIS Sparta, declined to comment on the size of the deal saying it was an internal matter.

NIS Sparta functions in areas of leadership development, sales maximisation, process consultancy, CRM and content development and has deployed corporate learning solutions for more than 75,000 professionals in over 500 companies across five continents.

Reliance has identified a synergy with this business potential of performance enhancement solutions in view of its own businesses in retail, telecom and petroleum seeking the services of NIS Sparta to train about 100,000 people across the country, a NIS Sparta release said.

As a sequel to this association, the Reliance-NIS Sparta Academy is being launched with dedicated staff engaged in conjunction with the Reliance line of business.

Reliance NIS Academy will set up 110 centres to commence training for customer-facing operational staff for different industries under its operations.

V V Bhatt, group president, management services, Reliance Industries is the new chairman of the company while Duggal continues as CEO and MD.
