Britannia has created the post of a chief financial officer. N Shridhar, former vice-president (finance) of soft drink major Coca-Cola, has been appointed as the CFO. Till such time a CEO is appointed, the CFO will report to Wadia and not to Nikhil Sen, the chief operating officer of the Bangalore-based biscuits and dairy products company. After the Sunil Alagh era, Sen has been running the company even though he has not been formally made the managing director or CEO. The managing director's post has been lying vacant. Nusli Wadia, chairman, Britannia Industries, told Business Standard: "The post of CFO of Britannia Industries is a newly created one and the incumbent will report to the CEO, as and when appointed. In the interim, he reports to the board and me." Alagh, the former MD & and CEO of Britannia Industries, was ousted for his alleged financial irregularities. It is close to a year now since he left Britannia Industries but the company has not yet announced a replacement for him.
