Jet Airways' upgrade offer for economy class passengers

Jet Airways on Saturday announced a special offer, which would enable its economy class passengers to upgrade to the business class by paying an additional amount of Rs 500 to 1,200 on the normal economy class fares.

The 'Anniversary Upgrade Offer' would be valid on 56 sectors of the airline's network during July 5 to October 31, 2003.

For the special fares, tickets would have to be booked 10 days in advance and can be availed by both Indian and foreign nationals holding the resident or work permits, Jet Airways said adding the offer was announced as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.

The new fares for a passenger travelling on the Delhi-Mumbai sector on the anniversary upgrade offer would be Rs 8,980 instead of the normal business class fare of Rs 11,405.

Similarly, the fares on the Delhi-Kolkata route would be Rs 9,790 (Rs 13,120) while on the Bangalore-Delhi route, it would be Rs 12,045 instead of Rs 16,620.

The passengers have to carry a bonafide identity card while travelling.

In case of cancellation of tickets ten days prior to the departure, the entire amount would be refunded after deducting Rs 100.

However, only 50 per cent of the amount would be refunded on any cancellation within ten days before departure.

Jet Airways, the country's second largest airline, operates a fleet of 32 Boeing and eight ATR aircraft.
