Reliance Infocomm launches two budget plans

Reliance Infocomm Ltd has launched two new plans, Budget 149 and Budget 249, with monthly rental of Rs 149 and Rs 249 respectively, for users who would like to limit their monthly spend.
The plans offer the convenience of pre-paid schemes, like lower monthly commitment, with the advantages of post-paid plans across all market segments, Reliance Infocomm said in a release in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The plans are targetted at low talk-time users, it said, adding, they would bring in "a wider array of options to Reliance IndiaMobile customers".
Under the plans, subscribers would get free outgoing talk-time of Rs 100 and Rs 150, while security deposits for local, STD and ISD facilities are also waived off, the release said.
The schemes, would not have processing or activation fees, while caller liner identification, call hold and call wait would be offered free, it said, adding SMS would be charged 50 paise per message.
Local, STD within circle and STD outside circle and upto 50 km would be levied Re one per minute and that to mobile phones and fixed lines would be charged Rs 1.99 per minute, it said.
The customers under the plan would also get benefits of the Pioneer Offer, which includes free handsets, by becoming a member of the Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer Club. The customer can become a member of the club by subscribing to membership options at an upfront payment of either Rs 6,350, Rs 4,850 and Rs 3,350, it added.
