EIL gets HPCL refinery upgradation deal

Engineers India said on Friday that it has won a Rs 1100 crore (Rs 11 billion) contract for upgradation of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation's Mumbai refinery.
"EIL has been awarded the job of green fuel and emission control project of HPCL's Mumbai refinery," a company statement said.
The project would maximise distillate yield and upgrade product quality to meet the future specificiations for petrol (Euro-IV) and diesel (Euro-III).
The project consists of revamping and de-bottlenecking of existing primary/secondary processing units along with installation of new naphtha splitter unit, naphtha hydrotreating unit, continuous catalytic reformer unit and FCC gasoline hydrotreating unit.
The project is scheduled for mechanical completion in February 2005.
