Funeral at Chandanwadi crematorium at 4.30 pmThe funeral of Dhirubhai Hirachand Ambani, founder and Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, who passed away in Mumbai on Saturday night, will be held at the Chandanwadi crematorium at 4.30 p.m on Sunday, according to a Reliance group media release. The body of the Reliance patriarch will be kept at the Ambanis' residence at Sea Wind, 39, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai for darshan and homage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday The funeral procession will proceed from Sea Wind, through S K Patil Udyan, Maharshi Karve Road, Oppn. Marine Lines Station to the Chandanwadi crematorium. The 69-year-old Ambani had suffered a stroke on Monday, June 24 at his residence and was being attended to in the intensive care unit of the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Traffic arrangements The Mumbai police, meanwhile, beefed up security in South Mumbai in view of the funeral procession, which will be attended by prominent people from all walks of life.
