What: University of Hyderabad offers admission to 10th batch of MBA programme 2008-10

Eligibility:

~ Students who wish to apply for admission to this programme at the University of Hyderabad during the Academic year 2008-09; 

A. should have completed a three year bachelor's degree programme (or its equivalent) in any discipline in an institution recognised by the Association of Indian Universities/ AICTE by June 2008. Those completing their final examinations by June, 2008 can also apply. 

B. should have applied for CAT-2007 scheduled on 19 November 2007 (The IIMs CAT advertisement appeared in leading, newspapers on 17 July 2007). 

C. should apply to the University of Hyderabad indicating their CAT Registration Number and Test Centre Code by 23 November 2007 to The Deputy Registrar (Acad & Exams) University of Hyderabad, PO Central University, Hyderabad 500046.

Application procedure:

~ Prospectus-cum-application forms can be obtained in person or by post from 4 October 2007 or all working days from The Dy. Registrar (Acad & Exams) at the above address against cash payment as follows. Each copy of Prospectus-cum-Application Form costs Rs 300 for General Category candidates and Rs 50 for SC/ST/PH category candidates.

~ The Prospectus-cum-application form can also be obtained by Ordinary post upto 17 November, 2007 from the Deputy Registrar (Acad & Exams) at the above address by sending: A. a requisition, B. one self-addressed slip, C. a crossed demand draft for Rs 350 for General category candidates and Rs 100 for SC/ST/PH category candidates drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad payable at State Bank of India [Get Quote], HU Campus Branch (Code No 5916), Hyderabad-46 or Andhra Bank [Get Quote], Nampally Branch (Code No 378), Hyderabad-500 001.

~ The Prospectus-cum-Application form can also be downloaded from the University's web site at www.uohyd.ernet.in from October 4, 2007. The downloaded application form, duly filled in as per the instructions and with supporting papers should be sent to the Deputy Registrar (Acad & Exams) together with a Bank Draft of Rs 150 in the case of General Category and Rs 50 in the case of SC/ST/PH category.

Please note that:

1.Candidates short-listed for Group Discussion and Interview will be notified by the end of February 2008 based on their percentile scores obtained in the CAT Test 2007.

2.Group Discussion/Interviews will be held at the University of Hyderabad Campus for the short-listed candidates in March 2008

3. Admissions will be finalised by the end of March 2008

4. The School of Management Studies at the University will be using CAT Results for short-listing the candidates for its two year-full time MBA Programme.

IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
