What: Birla Institute of Technology admission notification for BE Programme 2007-08 at DEOGHAR Extension Centre

Details:

~ Computer Science -- 50 seats

~ Electronics and Communication Engineering -- 50 seats

~ Electrical and Electronics Engineering -- 50 seats

~ This will be a residential Institute, located at Jasidih near Deoghar, and arrangements are being made to provide transit hostel accommodation for both girls and boys.

~ The first batch will commence their classes from 1st October 2007.

~ In each discipline, 25 seats are reserved for students acquiring eligibility qualification from institutions located in Jharkhand, with 3 seats for SC, 7 for ST, 4 for OBC, and 11 for general candidates, including 5 seats for girls and 1 for PH across all categories in each discipline.

~The remaining 25 seats are for students who have acquired eligibility qualification from institutions located outside Jharkhand, with 4 seats for SC, 2 for ST, and 19 for general candidates, including 5 seats for girls and 1 for PH across all categories in each discipline.

~Attempts will be made to give representation to students from as many states as possible.

Am I eligible:

~ (1) Pass in all subjects of Class 12 / I. Sc. or equivalent examination in which appeared including optional subjects, with at least 60 % marks in aggregate in best five subjects, including English, Mathematics, Physics, and other two subjects as per AIEEE norms (50 % for SC/ST)

~(2) Pass in all subjects of Class 10 / Matriculation in which appeared including optional subjects, with at least 60 % in average of all subjects in which appeared (50 % for SC/ST) (3) Age less than 21 years on 1 October 2007 (26 years for SC/ST candidates) (3) Valid Rank in AIEEE -- 2007

How to apply:

~ The prescribed application form can be obtained over the counter from all our Centres from 3 September 2007 to 14 September 2007, on payment of Rs 800 by crossed Demand Draft in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi.

~ Please see below for addresses of Centres where the Brochure can be obtained. 

~  Postal requests must reach office of undersigned by 10 September 2007, with crossed DD for Rs 900 as above, and must include two slips of paper (10 x 10 cm) with name, address and phone number.An application fee of Rs 1000 by crossed DD as above must be sent with the completed application form. Candidates must also attach photocopies of marksheets and pass certificates of Class 10 and 12, caste certificates, AIEEE �2007 Admit card and Rank card with their completed application form.

~ Completed application forms must reach the office of the undersigned by 4 pm on 15th September 2007 positively.

~ Selection procedure will be based on All India Rank in AIEEE-2007. The provisional selection lists, along with procedures for admissions, will be displayed on or before 24th September 2007 on the Institute web site with brief notification in newspapers.

~ No separate intimations will be sent to candidates.
