Sexy little pleated skirts are fun and hip and if partnered with a pair of boots, there's nothing hotter.

Sure, minis are great but if you'd rather not show off those legs or are headed for a meeting, opt for a knee-length or just-below-the-knee skirt in cotton or a cotton-mix. Do NOT opt for denim, the bulk will only work against you if the skirt is any longer than half-way down your thigh.

Also, pick a skirt that sits low on the waist. The higher the waist the broader you will end up looking; a broad waistband like the one in the picture is also advised.

Pleats are the rage right now, and are easily available at most apparel stores for as little as Rs 500.
