What: Staff Selection Commission will hold on Sunday, March 30, 2008, Combined Matric Level (Preliminary) Examination, 2008.

Details:

~ Used all over the country for selecting candidates for the Main Examination to be held subsequently, for the post of Stenographer Grade `C, Stenographer Grade `D` and Lower Division Clerks. The Combined Matric Level (Main) Examination, 2008 will tentatively be held on 27-28 September, 2008.

~ Number of Vacancies: Firm number of vacancies for different categories of posts will be determined in due course.

~ Age Limit (As on January 1, 2008) 18 -27 years.

~ Usual age-relaxation will be admissible to SC, ST, OBC, EXS, etc. as per Government Orders in force.

~ Education  (As on January 1, 2008): Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent or higher examination.

~ Fee: Rs. 100 (Rupees One Hundred only). No fee for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen.

~ Closing Date: The last date for receipt of application in the concerned Regional office of the Commission will be December 14, 2007 (5 pm) and December 24, 2007 (5 pm) in the case of candidates residing in remote areas.

~ Application Form available on this website is downloadable and can be used by the candidates for making an application for this examination.

~ Candidates may please note that the Notice published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar on November 17, 2007 contains detailed provisions for both the Preliminary and Main stages of the Examination and no separate Detailed Notice will be published afterwards for the Main or further stages of this Examination,
