What: Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, has its State Level Common Entrance Test (B Ed CET -- 2007)

Details:

~ Prescribed OMR applications are invited for State Level Common Entrance Test for admission to B Ed (Regular) Course in the Colleges of Education affiliated to/maintained by MD University, Rohtak, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, B.P.S. Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan (Sonepat) and the Deptt of Education, Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa for the session 2007-08.

~ Date of test: 18, August, 2007 ; 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Eligibility:

(i) For Science & Mathematics Group: BSc or BSc (Hons) or BSc (Home Science) or BSc (Agriculture) or BA with Mathematics or Master's degree in Science or Mathematics or an Examination recognised as equivalent thereto with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate (minimum pass marks in case of SC candidates and 40% marks in case of totally blind candidates) with at least one school subject at the graduation level.

(ii) For Humanities & Commerce Group: BA or BA (Hons) or B Com or MA or M Com or Shastri with English as an additional subject or an Examination recognised as equivalent thereto with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate (Minimum pass marks in case of SC candidates and 40% marks in case of totally blind candidates) with at least one school subject at the graduation level.

How to apply:

~ Prospectus (Code No B Ed-2007) containing application form (OMR) for entrance test and counselling and other details will be available 3 July 2007 onwards on cash payment of Rs 900  (Rs 225 for SC/BC candidates of Haryana) at sale counter of MD University and in the other participating universities and affiliated Aided Education Colleges.

~ Details may be seen on the University website www.mdurohtak.com/  It can also be obtained through Registered Post from Incharge (Publications), MD University, Rohtak by sending crossed Bank Draft worth Rs 950 (Rs 275 for SC/BC candidates of Haryana) in favour of Finance Officer, MD University, Rohtak payable at Rohtak (SBI [Get Quote] Code No 4734). Request for sending prospectus by post will not be entertained after 15 July 1007.

~ Last date for submission of application form (OMR): 24 July 2007 by 5:00 pm

~ 15% of the total seats in all Colleges/Departments of Education will be filled on All India basis, from the merit list of Common Entrance Test, through Centralised Counseling.
