Embellished kurtas will never go out of style in India. At the moment, however, they are cropping up on the international fashion scene as well and not without good reason -- comfortable, trendy and very eye-catching, you can wear them to practically any social do. The best part is the availability -- you can snag yourself a kurta pretty much anywhere in your city. Stores selling both ethnic and Western wear usually have some lovely ones in stock, or you could even take your pick from the streets -- some tiny roadside stalls sell truly stunning kurtas embellished with sequins, embroidery and bandhani work. Of course, you could go for high-end creations as well, by prominent Indian designers who will charge you as much. To make a style statement, pick a colourful kurta and team it with a pair of jeans or formal trousers for a night out. Stilettos will add that classy touch and you will be looking your best!
